The Journey

Our Workshop Process

Every restoration follows a meticulous path to ensure nothing is overlooked.

1. Detailed Assessment

We begin with a comprehensive evaluation of both mechanical and structural integrity. This dictates a tailored restoration plan detailing every required intervention.

2. Disassembly & Prep

The instrument is carefully broken down into its core components. Strings are removed, the cast iron plate is hoisted, and the cabinet is prepared for dedicated structural work.

3. Core Restoration

Simultaneous work begins across the soundboard, pinblock, and action. This phase requires the longest lead time as structural adhesives cure and new parts are custom-fitted.

4. Regulation & Voicing

Once reassembled, the piano undergoes extensive mechanical regulation and tonal voicing to ensure an even touch weight and a balanced, resonant sound profile across the entire keyboard.
